ABOUT NO DRONES
Our purpose for this campaign is to totally eliminate all use of DRONES as weapons of war. We intend to set up a CodePINK Women's "GROUND the DRONES" Encampments, protests, etc. on various dates (hopefully for longer and longer periods) outside Creech Air Force Base in Nevada, and any other place in the U.S., where soldiers presently operate or will operate the computers that remotely control drones. We will also engage in a major public awareness and education campaign; and we will identify and target those companies and corporations that are manufacturing and selling these DRONES to the military. When we invaded Afghanistan in 2001, we had a handful of drones. In January 2009 when Obama took office we had 7000; now we have 12,000. On top of what has already been allocated for war this year, Congress, in the recent supplemental, has given Obama $57.4 million to acquire 742 Predator Hellfire missiles and $196 million for ten new MQ-9 Reapers. War Mongers are pushing to make drones and robots status quo of the military. Join us and take action against the DRONES as we say NO DRONES, period! CRONES not DRONES! GROUND THE DRONES FOR INFINITY! |
